Coming Full Circle

At the end of my third week at Eisbrenner, I can officially say that I love my job. I've figured out how to navigate the computer folders, fill out my time card and turn on my computer speakers (listening to the inspirational sounds of techno aids my creative flow immensely).

In addition to these three incredible logistical feats, I've already had the opportunity to write several press releases and newsletter articles, do research and work on media lists. Not bad for three weeks.

I think the best part of the internship so far, though, was attending a team meeting yesterday. I listened in as my team members discussed and developed strategies for a client--what a great experience! As I sat at the table amongst my coworkers, taking in everything they said, I felt three years of PR classes at Eastern Michigan University come crashing down on me. Everything came full circle. All the strategies, all the planning, all the tools we'd discussed in my classes-- this is how they're used in the real world. What an epiphany!
